The SPA Interclub PDI Championship 2013 was held last Saturday - with 25 clubs and 720 images.

Bookham Camera Club came third - perhaps the best we have ever achieved in the competition - congratulations to everyone involved.

Special mention goes to Martin Halley whole Vespa vulgaris was awarded a judge's award by Don Byatt ARPS MPAGB EFIAP

A new and worthy competition on our recommendations page - the big picture from The Big Issue magazine.



Catego​ries:

• Portrait: A representation of a living person or animal.
  
• Life: Showing the interaction between a subject and the environment. This for example might be an insight into a way of life and could be spontaneous, or set up. This category has a single and series (between 4 and 8 separate images) entry.
  
• Environmental: This can be a landscape or interior or even an object. This category has a single and series (between 4 and 8 separate images) entry.
  
• Project: A series of between 8 and 20 images that portray a narrative

Dorking Camera Club is exhibiting photographs by some of its members at Dorking Museum. The Museum is open 10am-4pm on Fridays and Saturdays and the exhibition opened on March 1st 2013 and will run until April 28th 2013.

Molesey Photographic Club's Annual Arthur Mole Lecture will take place on Tuesday 26th March 2013

Cape Starling - Roger Mendham

23rd February 2013 saw the judging of the Surrey Advertiser Rose Bowl. This annual competition, hosted by Woking Photographic Society, sees member clubs of the Surrey Photographic Association competing by each entering 5 different PDIs by 5 different members.

Bookham Camera club came second with a score of 45 marks!
